MAXIDECOR® Oceano decorative technique
MAXIDECOR Oceano is a semi-transparent effect paint of exceptional quality, made on the basis of an aqueous dispersion of acrylic binder, filler, special additives and effect pigments.
MAXIDECOR Oceano is a water-washable coating, with good vapor permeability, not harmful to humans and the environment. Easy to apply. It is intended for the protection and decoration of interior wall surfaces, where it is necessary to create an effect that is unique and seductive like sea waves. It is produced in bases according to the MAXIDECOR Oceano tone chart.
Application of MAXIDECOR® Ocean
Step 1 – applying the primer
Before applying the decorative technique MAXIDECOR® Oceano the surface must be painted with a base coat MAXIDECOR Nero. The coating must be diluted with water to a maximum of 10% and mixed until complete homogenization. The coating is recommended to be applied with a brush or roller, and if it is a matter of larger surfaces, a spraying machine can be used. Apply the coating evenly along the entire surface, and if the surface is not the same everywhere, then apply the coating after 4 to 6 hours.
Step 2 - application of MAXIDECOR® Ocean
MAXIDECOR® Oceano is produced in eight bases, and when applying the Seabed technique, two bases are used (it is possible to use only one if you want to achieve a calmer effect of the Seabed technique) in order to achieve a more beautiful appearance of the wall. The MAXIDECOR® Oceano base is delivered ready for use, but it needs to be mixed until completely homogenized. Four to six hours after applying the base coat, the surface is ready to apply MAXIDECOR® Oceano base.
Step 3 – Application technique and accessories
Apply MAXIDECOR Oceano with a special double MXD 2-70 brush so that one brush is dipped in one color and the other brush in another color. At the same time, care should be taken not to change the order of taking the materials. Apply the material with cross movements, but in such a way that the two shades cover each other. Due to open weather, the surface on which MAXIDECOR Oceano is applied should not be larger than 1.5m2 at a temperature of 15-20°C. If the temperature is higher, reduce the surface area, or slightly increase it if it is lower.
Step 4 – Transition with a dry brush
When the paint has partially dried, go over the applied coating again with a dry brush, in order to move the MAXIDECOR Oceano particles to create an effect that irresistibly resembles sea waves. After use, wash the tool immediately with water. You can watch the entire procedure on video.
