Thermodynamics project – Hotel View
Hotel View in Postira on the island of Brač recently opened its doors and became one of the most prestigious hotels on the Adriatic. From the very design of the hotel to the completion of all construction works, a lot of effort and time was invested. In order for all construction works to be completely high-quality and safe, Termodinamika participated in the delivery of materials for waterproofing works. Below, see what the construction process looked like and the final result of the hotel construction.
The process of insulation works using Thermodynamics material
The project included complete insulation, except for the basic one. In the basement, they have polymer-cement insulation HYGROMSART IMPER-C 2K FLEX insulated: sanitary facilities, spa area with saunas, showers in the spa area itself and a hydro-massage pool, which before the polymer-cement insulation itself was treated with an epoxy mixture that prevents later penetration of corrosion through the reinforcement to the surface, and the pool was previously leveled with repair mortar.
They were used for surface treatment, waterproofing and installation of ceramics in all pools Master Builders / PCI systems that include:
- MasterEmaco S 1130 TIX repair mortar of strength class R3
- MasterSeal 545 polymer-cement waterproofing mortar
- MasterTile 425 Flex ceramic glue class S1
- PCI Durapox epoxy grout
The ground floor is covered with polymer-cement waterproofing mortar HYGROSMART IMPER-C 2K-FLEX all bathrooms in the guest rooms and the loggia are insulated.
From the 1st to the 4th floor, all loggias and planters are insulated with polyurethane liquid membrane HYPERDESMO-CLASSIC.
The main canopy at the entrance to the facility is insulated BAUDER THERMOPLAN T20 FPO membrane, while all roofs on the staircases were insulated by installing a vapor barrier on which geotextile and FPO membrane were installed.
The roof of the building is waterproofed with a membrane BAUDER THERMOPLAN T20 and XPS as thermal insulation. A geotextile was also installed, which in the future, using a special device and technology, can easily find the places of breakthroughs and water leaks.
The surroundings and the entrance of the hotel are insulated with welded high-quality bitumen tape BAUDER PYE G 200 S 4 T which is welded with gas burners and a steam dam on which a concrete slab is placed. An epoxy primer was placed on the concrete slab, on which a special adhesive was welded, on which the hot asphalt is placed.
