BAUDER is a leading German manufacturer of bitumen sheets, synthetic membranes based on PVC and FPO, and polyurethane thermal insulation (PIR). It has the most elaborate green roof system on the market, which includes everything from waterproofing and drainage layers to all other elements that make up a green roof. With an experience of over 160 years, today they cover about 25% of the flat roof waterproofing market in Germany, as well as a large part of flat roof waterproofing throughout Europe. All the company's products are characterized by well-known German reliability, quality and durability, whether it is the proven and traditional technology of bituminous adhesives or the more modern technology of synthetic membranes based on polyvinyl chloride (PVC-P), i.e. flexible thermoplastic polyolefin (FPO/TPO). Also, the fact that one manufacturer guarantees all layers (waterproofing and filter-drainage) of a green roof instills additional confidence in investors and all those involved in the process of designing and constructing these roofs.

Synthetic products for waterproofing

Synthetic membranes for waterproofing are an increasingly common solution in flat roof insulation systems, both in large industrial and production halls where they have always been the primary solution, as well as in smaller residential buildings and even the smallest family house projects.

Simplicity and speed of installation, unhindered access for later renovations and repairs, and the possibility of being the last layer in the system due to their UV resistance encourage investors to opt for this type of waterproofing on their flat roofs as often as possible.

Whether it is FPO membranes with a glass voile insert (Thermofin), polyester mesh (Thermoplan / Thermoplex) or slightly more flexible PVC-based membranes with a polyester mesh insert (Thermofol), BAUDER offers a product that meets the highest market and installation requirements, in competitive thicknesses that vary from 1,2 mm to 2,0 mm, depending on the project.

Bitumen products for waterproofing

Bitumen products for waterproofing

For the entire known history, bitumen-based products have been the safest and most traditional solution for waterproofing various buildings. Today, in modern times, the same bitumen is still used as a quality solution, but with the enrichment of the raw material with synthetic polymers (plastomers and elastomers) and the production of membranes with various reinforcements, it is raised to a higher level.

By investing in the development of technology and in various factories throughout Germany and Austria, BAUDER instills confidence in both investors and contractors that they will receive the highest quality solution in bitumen waterproofing for their investment right there.

From various vapor barrier membranes (stickers with an aluminum insert), elastomeric membranes used in foundation structures, plastomer membranes for excellent performance in high temperature loads to self-adhesive membranes, BAUDER again represents the highest quality and most competitive solution on the waterproofing market.

Products for green roof systems

Recently, in addition to flat roofs, projects have also been dominated by green roofs, especially in urban areas where there is an urgent need to increase green areas. While most people see the term "green roof" only as a beautiful sight at the end of the building, reality and profession are far more complicated and difficult than that. In order for a green roof to be the way we all imagine it, special attention should be paid to its planning, design and execution, paying attention to every single layer that makes up such a system.

Every green roof starts with a high-quality anti-root waterproofing as an adequate base, and then all other filter-drainage layers and substrates necessary for its beautiful appearance are installed. BAUDER goes the furthest from all the competition by developing and offering all parts of the system, starting from the waterproofing itself, filter and drainage layers, all the way to the substrate and the plant seedlings themselves. With the help of our insulation and horticulture experts, every green roof will look the way it should and the way we all envision it.

Thermal insulation products based on polyurethane foam

Thermal insulation products based on polyurethane foam

Every flat, green or pitched roof in its section of the system must also contain thermal insulation. As an alternative solution to conventional products, BAUDER offers a thermal insulation solution in the form of panels based on polyisocyanurate, i.e. hard polyurethane foam (PIR).

Unlike other systems such as mineral wool, polystyrene and the like, PIR is characterized by the need to install smaller insulation thicknesses to achieve the same thermal efficiency result due to a significantly lower thermal conductivity factor (λ), which is 0,022 - 0,027.

With high compressive strength, relatively low weight, ease of installation and the favorable thermal conductivity factor mentioned above, PIR represents an ideal solution for the thermal insulation of any roof, regardless of its purpose.
